to know

the director of spain flamenco arts and producer of this tour; begoña fernandez pellicer, was, for 25 years, the director of the most important flamenco stage in madrid: casa patas. a stage that was the mecca of flamenco and that hosted the best flamenco artists in history, such as paco de lucia and camaron de la isla.

begoña, is the best curator of flamenco, and every year, she selects the best up and coming talent to bring on a tour to the us.

This year, is the exception, we don’t have up and coming talent, rather we have -the dancer- of the moment: Marta Galvez.

2026: She has been nominated to one of the most prestigous national awards in spain, as a choreographer, she was selected to create her own show at the festival of jerez (best Flamenco festival in the world) and she was chosen by the flamenco festival of Albuquerque (Best Flamenco Festival out of spain) to create her own show as well.

it is an honor for me, to have the opportunity to bring my students to share the stage and witness the whole show from the sides of the theater, it is going to be quite an experience and I hope you, parents, appreciate the effort i put, to offer these opportunities to my dancers, as it is definetly not something it happens anywhere else in the u.s.

….this said, please talk to your kids, encourage them to be serious and embrace the opportunity.

  • Don’t get too crazy in halloween night, I can’t have exhausted/sleepy kids.

  • have everything ready couple days before

  • they need a good breakfast!

  • please, do not be late. rehearsal will start at 12:45, so drop them off before, I will be there from 9 am =)

  • from 1:30 to 2:30 they will have a break. Lunch in kirkland could be a good idea

  • call back at the theater at 2:30, start of the show at 3, and everything will be done before 4:30
