class of wed 4:30-6:30 and sat 11:30-1:30 〰️

Dear parents of the Wednesday 4:30 - Saturday 11:30 class:

Please take a moment to add all this info to your calendars.

As you know, I am a SUPER relaxed teacher when we talk about tardies, attendance, hair, clothing etc…

I also navigate a busy life + motherhood with 3 kids, so I am as understanding as I can possibly be. But I am going to need your full cooperation, very particularly the last week of April and the first 10 days of May.

So:

This May, as announced 7 months ago, I am bringing Marta Ortiz, the best teacher we had in Cadiz! I am investing a LOT for Marta to be here, and in return, I expect my students to show up every single minute of this effort I am putting together and offering to them. I understand for you, it represents time and logistics effort… So please, take out your calendar/agendas and reserve those dates, plan accordingly.

I am also jumping into having 2 dates for the show this year. Understand the learning experience increases exponentially when you have a second round.

So again, this having 2 dates, is really for these students, the 9-18 years old to get the best experience they can. I do, understand for the parents it will be a crazy busy weekend but please, again, bare with me and do it for them.

Understand also, I wouldn’t be doing all this and putting so much everything if my daughter wasn’t here and these girls were not part of my family.

Lastly… Most of us, spent quite a big deal $ last year in Europe… So bringing Marta is also a way to keep pushing these girls forward without having to travel or spend each of us on a full trip overseas. That is also why I am proposing VANCOUVER this year!!! It is one of the most respected Flamenco Festivals out of Spain, and I pushed all of my strings to get us a day on their stage as an opening act, in the beaaautiful Granville Islando of Vancouver downtown. (More info about Vancouver to come)

As a side note: The 3rd week of May, my sister’s daughter is graduating from College in DC, and I will be there the whole week… So I decided to give that whole week off after all this bonanza of events to your daughters and you, so you can get a break from Flamenco and me =)… Before more events come!
